Plan Your Visit
Dear Family Life,
As Pastor, I am thrilled to extend a special invitation to you for a unique and powerful outreach opportunity that has the potential to transform lives and strengthen our church as we build community.
It is not often that a contemporary ministry movie is produced with the capacity to make a significant impact. "The Forge" is such a movie, delivering a timely and inspiring message that addresses a critical issue within our society: fatherlessness. The prevalent belief that a young black man, or any child for that matter, is handicapped in life due to the absence of a biological father is not only erroneous but also contradicts the teachings of Scripture. God promises to be a father to the fatherless, and it is this profound truth that "The Forge" brings to light with great clarity and emotional depth.
"The Forge" powerfully illustrates this truth, showing that true discipleship and fatherhood can come from willing mentors and community members, a message that is particularly vital for the black family and, indeed, for families of all races.
This movie offers an incredible outreach opportunity for our church. Imagine mobilizing our congregation to invite family and friends to an evening or afternoon at the movies, using this event to dispel the myths surrounding fatherhood and to promote the truth of God's promises. Pastor Kim and I see this as a remarkable chance to enhance our ministries and reach people in a way that traditional methods may not. After all, have you notice we are adding people to our family and our church is growing.
We are participating in a nationwide Family Outreach Movie on Sunday, August 25th, and I need you to join us and invite family and friends in this impactful initiative. We envision packing out the theater and using this event as a community ministry outreach. This is an excellent occasion to spark Men’s Life, Women’s Life, Young Adult Life and other church opportunities by rallying around this powerful film.
Here’s how you can be part of this transformative community event:
1. Buy Your Tickets From The Church: Partner with us to buy out the movie "The Forge" on August 18th, 7:15pm showing at Tinsel Town Shreveport. Purchase tickets as soon as possible for $12 no later than Sunday, August 11th following dismissal and Wednesday, August 14th between 6-8pm.
2. Promote the Event & Engage Family & Friends: Share digital invitation and invite two persons (adults & teenagers 13 yrs. & above) to attend and your ticket is free. This is a fantastic evangelism tool that can reach people who might not otherwise attend church but are open to the powerful message of this film.
I am confident that this initiative will not only bless those who attend but also energize your church's outreach and discipleship efforts. Let us come together in this prayerful venture to bless others, harnessing the power of film to share the gospel and the profound truth of God’s fatherhood commitment to all. Our collective voices will indeed speak louder than our individual ones.
Thank you for your consideration and partnership in this exciting endeavor. Let’s make this Family Outreach Movie Day a resounding success for the Kingdom of God.
With great anticipation and faith,
Tommy W. Nard, Sr., Pastor
