Dr. Arriel Wicks, PhD

Dr. Wicks has more than 10 years of experience in teaching, tutoring, research, and industry.  Dr. Wicks is from Louisiana and graduated from Caddo Magnet High School in 2001.  She graduated from Louisiana State University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry.  In 2010, Dr. Wicks graduated from the University of New Orleans with her PhD in Chemistry.  While earning her PhD, she was the recipient of the NASA fellowship award.  After graduate school, Dr. Wicks went on to work as a forensic chemist and expert witness for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in Miami, FL., where she was a recipient of the "DEA on the Spot" Award and DEA Employee of the Month Award.  After her career with DEA, she then worked as a Supervisory Chemist for the State of Louisiana and is a member of the American Chemical Society.  Her passion for teaching, tutoring, and serving others encouraged her to connect with longtime friend and business partner, Netosha MacDonald-Gandy, to start their own tutoring company.

 

 

 

 

 

Netosha MacDonald-Gandy, M.A.T.

Netosha MacDonald-Gandy has many years of experience as a teacher in Caddo Parish (Shreveport), working with youth through Louisiana State Youth Opportunities Unlimited (LSU-Baton Rouge), and teaching at Summer Camp for Confluence Academy Schools (St. Louis).  She is a native of Shreveport, Louisiana and graduate of Caddo Magnet High School.  She went on to earn two undergraduate degrees at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, one in English and the other in Psychology.  As a lifelong learner, next she received her Master of Arts in Teaching at Louisiana Tech University.  During her teaching career, she was awarded the honor of "Teacher of the Month" at an award-winning National Blue Ribbon School.  In addition, she was the recipient of grants from Louisiana Science Teachers Association (LSTA), PittConn Science Conference, and Fisher Scientific.  With many years of teaching and professional experience, she was delighted about the opportunity to partner with Dr. Wicks and continue to service the community.

The staff at The Best Tutoring, LLC consists of PhD scientists, Masters-level certified teachers, and Master’s degree level Business Administrators with over 50 years of combined experience.  The staff will customize each tutoring session to satisfy each individual’s learning styles and needs. We are committed to providing the highest quality of service to help you not only to succeed but to enjoy learning. Lastly, Elevation Tutoring is FREE for Family Life Church Members.
